Leith Clark x Warby Parker: A Match Made in Style Heaven
Warby Parker has just released their latest collaboration with Leith Clark, Editor in Chief at Violet, Style Director at Large for Harper’s Bazaar UK, and Founder of Lula Magazine. Basically, she’s a style and publishing bad ass and I want to be like her when I grow up. Her style is eclectic, effortless, a little vintage, and super stylish. Together, they create magic; pure style magic that could only have been dreamt up in style heaven.
The Collaboration
Leith Clark first teamed up with Warby Parker in 2013 and received rave reviews. Three years later, they teamed up again and released this new collection in October of 2016. To quote Warby Parker, this collection is “a vintage-inspired collection that incorporates rimless frames, filigree, mixed-material constructions (think: gold-plated titanium coupled with premium cellulose acetate), and exposed screws.” Leith utilized Warby Parker’s existing frames and added her unique flair, resulting in a collection you’re going to want to get your hands on.
The collection not only looks great but it feels great too; Leith has decided to donate to Girl Up which teaches leadership skills to girls and raises awareness for other United Nations programs directed at girls around the world. For each pair purchased, a pair will be donated to someone in need. How amazing is that?
The frames are offered in both eyeglasses and sunglasses versions with a variety of lens colors. Prices start at $145; some with prescription lenses included. Warby Parker does not accept insurance, however they indicate that they will gladly provide an itemized statement for you to provide your insurance when seeking reimbursement. Their lenses are made from polycarbonate and offer 100% UV protection. A huge bonus is their “Try at Home” program which allows you to have a pair sent to you to try on for fit completely free of charge. Let’s have a look!
The Eyewear
Fleta – Sunglasses
The winged browline on these makes an instant style statement!
Zelda – Eyeglasses and Sunglasses
Zelda gives a unique flair to an otherwise classic shape with its unique two-tone coloring.
Valda – Eyeglasses and Sunglasses
Valda is my favorite pair; the gold browline with leaf detailing is chic and flattering.
Wednesday – Eyeglasses
Wednesday evokes the spirit of making it over that mid-week hump. You’ll look and feel up to it!
Oriel – Eyeglasses and Sunglasses
Oriel gives me Ancient Roman vibes. It is rich, elegant, and classic.
Lilia – Eyeglasses and Sunglasses
These rimless glasses are classic in shape and quirky in details.
How to Style
I was inspired by this collection of eyewear so I decided to take each style and create an outfit for it. The images are below, however you can check out the full catalog for details on each item and how to purchase.
The Conclusion
All in all, I am very impressed with this collection and I plan to snag a pair for myself. I currently sport a pair of Prada eyeglasses that I absolutely love but these have me wanting to add a second pair to my daily rotation.
Talk to you soon!
XOXO
